Cybercriminals may use the holiday theme for social engineering and phishing attacks
Send fake greetings, offer discounts or promotions under the guise of sales.
Today, the most popular scheme is one with fake payments under the guise of VAT: fraudsters promise the return of some “unpaid funds,” Dmitry Kiryushkin, head of BI.ZONE Brand Protection, commented to RSpectr.
